The Crown: Hepinizden cok sIkIldim

Netflix'in büyük beğeni toplayan dizisi The Crown, başladığı günden bu yana büyük ilgi ve övgü topladı. Kraliçe 2. Elizabeth'in saltanatını anlatan ve İngiliz kraliyet ailesinin inceliklerini irdeleyen dizi, dünya çapında izleyicileri büyüledi. Ben de eksik kalmadım ve gecen kis izlemeye basladim.

Netflix's highly acclaimed series, The Crown, has garnered great interest and praise since its debut. Portraying the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and delving into the intricacies of the British royal family, the show has captivated audiences worldwide. I didn't want to miss out, so I started watching it last winter.

Dizinin ilk bölümlerini hakikaten coşkuyla izledim. Neticede zenginli dizi seven bir milletin evladıyım ben de. Downton Abbey'i de cok severdim. Ama the Crown bir süre sonra beni inanılmaz baymaya başladı. Dizi giderek monotonlasti diyemem. Aslında benzer çizgide devam etti. 

I enthusiastically enjoyed the first few episodes of the series. After all, I am a product of a nation that loves rich and elaborate dramas, and I was a big fan of Downton Abbey as well. However, after a while, The Crown started to bore me incredibly. I can't say it became monotonous per se, as it continued along a similar line. The early seasons intrigued me with the complexities of monarchy and the challenges faced by Queen Elizabeth II. The meticulous attention to detail and the ability to transport us into the world of the royal family were commendable. However, in the subsequent seasons, the show seemed to excessively glorify and dramatize the actions and views of the royal family, overshadowing more significant societal issues. Even Diana's character started to appear hollow and nonsensical, almost as if she would have been an influencer if she were alive today.

Ilk sezonlar beni, monarşinin karmaşıklığı ve Kraliçe 2. Elizabeth'in karşılaştığı zorluklar, dizinin detaylara gösterdiği titiz özen, bizleri kraliyet ailesinin dünyasına taşıma becerisi, monarşi dünyasına görsel olarak carpici ve eglenceli bir bakış ilgimi çekerken, sonraki sezonlarda aynı kraliyet hayatının önemsiz detaylarına odaklanması, aşırı dramatize edilmiş ve kendini tekrarlayan bir anlatı sunması ve kraliyet ailesinin algılanan önemine aşırı bir vurgu yapması bana cok itici gelmeye başladı. Bir süreden sonra Diana bile bomboş saçma sapan bir insanmış, daha dogrusu ayni bokun laciverdiymis gibi gelmeye başladı. Bugün yasasa influencer olurmuş. 

Monarşi kuşkusuz İngiliz tarihi ve kültüründe önemli bir yere sahip olsa da, her hareket ve kararlarına durmaksızın odaklanmak cok yorucu. The Crown, kraliyet ailesinin eylem ve görüşlerinin aşırı derecede yüceltildiği ve çoğu zaman toplumsal açıdan daha önemli konuları gölgede bıraktığı bir dünya tasvir ediyor. Bu durum, çağdaş yönetimdeki sınırlı rollerine rağmen kraliyet ailesinin son derece önemli olduğu fikrini sürdürüyor. Bense bir süre sonra hakikaten monarşi ve monarşinin modern toplumdaki yerini, bunlar niye var, olmasa da olurmuş gibi düsüncelere daldım. Seveni cok, beni cok sarmadı ve tüm bölümleri izlemedim. Ama yeni sezon Dodi'li bölümleri, St. Tropez sasaasini falan tabi ki izlerim.

While monarchy undoubtedly holds an important place in British history and culture, obsessively focusing on every move and decision became quite exhausting. The Crown portrays a world where the actions and views of the royal family are excessively magnified, perpetuating the notion that they are of paramount importance in contemporary governance. As a result, I found myself contemplating the significance of the monarchy and its place in modern society, whether it's necessary or could be done without. While the show has a huge fan base, it just didn't resonate with me, and I didn't watch all the episodes. However, I will definitely watch the episodes that cover the events with Dodi and all that splendour in St. Tropez .

Currently, my favorite show is Ted Lasso, but I'll save that discussion for another time.
